Well friends my journey is still going and “43 and fat free” is still the name of my blog and my journey LOL but today I turned 44 and the last 2 years have been so amazing when it comes to transforming my body. You have all been so helpful with your support and comments. I always love hearing about your weight loss and what inspires you! But the funny messages I have been getting recently are more like now what? “44 and fat no more” hahahahaha , Nicola said that one to me this morning, I say to you all now thought that “43 and fat free” lives on! I started when I was 42 and wanting to lose a little weight before Swing Diego dance convention but thought my long term goal was being in the best shape of my life by 43 and I did it!! Now I’m in even better shape then a year ago and still feel like I have more to do!! I so look forward to the next 6, 10, 15… years of fine tuning my fitness! I like seeing my son Bobby mimic me with push ups and burpees, knowing he is learning about staying fit and exercise from watching his Dad. Just today on my birthday he was doing push ups and helping his little sister Summer learn how to do crunches and wall sits! The reminder, the home base, the statement that started it all for me was “43 and Fat Free” sharing the hardships of depression and stress eating. Letting the world know that if your addicted to food, if you hide the food you eat from the ones you love, if you cant stop with just one twinkie… well I know and share your feelings of guilt, shame, sadness, frustration, and anger. I hope it helps to see that even a chronic yo yo dieter can breaK the cycle! So if your 20, 30, 40, 50 or whatever its never too late to start losing weight and getting into the best shape of your life. I’m here to listen and help if I can or at the very least continue to share my journey both now and from my past. Again thank you all for your support over the last 2 years.
